1) работать, трудиться: a) выполнять определенную работу (1. 5 § 3 D. 9, 3. 1. 5 § 7 D. 13, 6. 1. 5 § 3 D. 39, 1. 1. 10 § 1 D. 48, 19);

b) оказывать услуги, operas praestare (1. 23 § 1 D. 7, 1. 1. 23 § 1 D. 38, 1. 1. 3 § 8 D. 40, 7);

c) заниматься чем, посвящать свои услуги, operam dare: op. reipubl. (1. 15 pr. D. 48, 5. 1. 1 § 11 D. 50, 13).

2) op. ad aliquid, служить к чему: op. ad praescriptionem (1. 5 C. 7, 16);
